Production images have been released showing Adrienne Warren in the title role of Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, set to open at the Aldwych Theatre on 17th April.

The musical, which began previews on 21st March, tells the story of the rock 'n' roll legend from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to becoming a global music icon who has sold over 200 million records, and hold the world record for more concert tickets sold for a solo artist.

It will also tell the story of Turner's troubled relationship with husband Ike Turner, who also launched her career, and will be played by Kobna Holdbrook-Smith. Click here to read our interview with the actor.

The cast also includes Madeline Appiah as Tina's mother Zelma Bullock, Lorna Gayle as Tina's Grandmother GG, Tom Godwin as record producer Phil Spector and lyricist Terry Britten, Francesca Jackson as Ike and Tina's manager Rhonda Graam and Aisha Jawando as Tina's sister Alline Bullock.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 20th October.
