In celebration of Shakespeare Day, which is marked on the day historians believe the Bard was born and also died (23rd April), we thought we'd run a poll in the playwright's honour.

Inspired by the recent BBC broadcast of Robert Icke's Hamlet at Easter, we collated ten performances of the 'To be or not to be' soliloquy from the past 70 years or so for you to pick your favourites.

The contenders are: Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrew Scott, Laurence Olivier, David Tennant, Paapa Essiedu, Kenneth Branagh, Richard Burton, Toby Stephens, Rory Kinnear and Paul Scofield.

Watch the performances in the list below, and upvote the performances you like. We're well aware we could have included many more actors in the list, so if you think we've missed someone off let us know on Twitter or Facebook, and we'll add them on (provided we can add a video of the performance).
