05: Why do you charge a booking fee?

Lashmars has been selling theatre tickets since 1926 and has always charged a 22% booking fee plus vat. The Theatres do not give us sufficient inside commissions, to enable us to maintain our premises, pay our experienced staff, and purchase the best tickets for our clients, so we charge the booking fee to maintain our level of service to customers.

Stalls is short for Orchestra Stalls and is the 'ground floor' of the Auditorium.

09: Are theatres open 7 days a week and on Bank Holidays?

Most are open Monday - Saturdays, but closed on Sunday except for a couple of shows. All main West End theatres remain open as usual during Christmas and New Year. They will only close on Christmas Day itself. However, many theatres may have an earlier start time on Christmas Eve. The rest of the time the theatres are open normally. In fact many have extra matinee performances. Most Theatres operate normally on all other Bank Holidays.

It does not matter what you wear nowadays. You will not look out of place whether you wear a Suit and Tie, or Jeans and a T-shirt. We would recommended that customers dress smart-casual.
