Peter has been involved in the theatre since his school days. First attracted to write and feature in reviews for his local youth group, he also wrote and acted in several school productions. Most of his time at University was spent stage managing, lighting or building sets for college productions in the massive auditorium of Queen Mary College, University of London – the old ‘People’s Palace’ down the Mile End Road in London’s East End. After a spell of some 11 years as a school teacher during which he stage managed and assisted with numerous school productions (some of which he would largely prefer to forget!), Peter embarked on a career in computer based training and has been producing award-winning multimedia programmes for more years than he cares to remember. During this time, he’s had the privilege of working with some great actors – including Tom Wilkinson – and award-winning directors such as Lawrence Moore, now a close and highly-valued friend. A keen fan of the work of Harold Pinter and Arthur Miller, Peter Brown has what can only be described as eclectic tastes in both theatre and film – in a sense, the ideal viewpoint for a reviewer. Other interests include jazz, computer technology and sustainability.
