Louise Dearman is currently starring as Glinda in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre

Date of Birth?
13th March 1979

Place of birth?
Bletchley

Did you go to training school, if so which one?
I trained at Laine Theatre Arts

Your first stage performance?
My first professional stage performance was at the age of 13 as part of the childrens choir in Joseph at the London Palladium starring Philip Schofield!

Career highlight to date?
Glinda in Wicked is the highlight of my career so far.

What roles would you most like to play?
I'd love to do a tv comedy or a play. TV Presenting is also a huge passion of mine.

What's the best advice you've ever received?
Treat others how you expect to be treated yourself...oh and buy a good bed and good shoes, if your not in one, you'll be in the other!!

What has been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
During the dress rehearsal for Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre. We were doing a scene where the Hotbox girls strip from huge gingham dresses to reveal denim shorts and cropped shirts, I accidently revealed a little too much in front of the entire cast as well as the Director and Choreographer....mortified is not the word!!!!

What is the most annoying part about your job?
Having to be so strict when it comes to going out partying or staying up late,I honestly can't do it and still be on top form for the show, I'm not a huge party animal but the option would be nice!! It's a small price to pay for such a wonderful role though.

If you had not become a performer, what might you have done instead?
There was no other option for me, I have no idea what else I'd have done.

Who are your favourite actors/actresses
I love Kate Winslet and Julia Roberts.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be?
My Grandfather, I never got to meet him.

What was the last book you read, and name some of your favourite authors?
Right now I'm reading 'Sister' by Rosamund Lupton. Another wonderful book I read recently was 'Climbing The Curtain' by Davina Elliott,a fantastic book and reading it was very special because I know the author!

What was the last film you saw, and name some of your favourite movies?
'Remember Me' starring Robert Patterson. I thought it was going to be a cheesy chick flick and I ended up sobbing my heart out at the end it got to me so much. 'The Notebook' destroys me every time I watch it.

Favourite TV programs?
The Apprentice, I want to be a business woman in the future so I find it very interesting.....and hilarious! I love documentaries...and Eastenders!

Favourite holiday destinations?
I have to admit I really haven't explored many places in the world and still haven't even been to New York so that's a must. Recently I've been enjoying the British countryside, getting wrapped up, pulling my wellies on and getting out in the fresh air, there really are some beautiful parts of the UK.

Do you have any hobbies?
Swimming, pilates, reading and I'm determined to learn the guitar I've had for about 5 years and still can't play.

Do you have any superstitions?
I used to have little rituals before a show like getting ready in a certain order or reciting lyrics over and over but I've chilled out in my old age!!

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
My boyfriend Andrew, ummm... a boat, is that allowed? and my blackberry.

What are your future plans?
There is still so much I want to achieve. Another album, my own business,to do some more comedy,a fabulous Presenting job...Dearman Domination!
