Clive Anderson and Mark Gatiss to feature in Park Theatre’s 2023 season

The Park Theatre turns 10 in 2023.

Find out upcoming shows at the Park Theatre in 2023. The new season includes Mock the Week writer Dan Patterson and Whose Line is it Anyway’s Clive Anderson, as well as boxer Vernon Vanriel and actor Mark Gatiss.

“We hope these burgeoning connections with venues outside of London are a sign of things to come as Park Theatre marks a very special landmark in May by turning ten years old,” said the Park Theatre’s artistic director Jez Bond.

Dougie Blaxland and Vernon Vanriel’s On the Ropes is at the Park Theatre in January 2023. The musical dramatises Vanriel’s fight for British citizenship, even though he’d lived in the country since he was six. Anastasia Osei-Kuffour directs On the Ropes from 6 January to 4 Feb. 2023. Clive Anderson then stars in Winner’s Curse, a satirical piece that reflects on international peace talks. Jez Bond directs Dan Patterson and Daniel Taub’s Winner’s Curse, with performances from 8 February to 11 Mar. 2023.

Following this, Mark Gatiss directs The Way Old Friends Do then runs at the Park Theatre from 15 March to 15 April. Ian Hallard’s play follows the world’s first drag ABBA tribute band.

Jon Bradfield’s ANIMAL plays at the Park Theatre in spring 2023. ANIMAL follows David, a “gay, disabled and horny” young man. ANIMAL plays from 19 April to 20 May 2023.

Nicolas Billon's The Elephant Song and Jo Harper’s The Beach House run in Park90 from 16 January to 11 February and 15 February to 11 March respectively.
