Darren Day returns to Joseph Oct 03

Cast changes in Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the New London Theatre: Lee Waterworth replaces Stephen Gately as 'Joseph' from 15 Sep, then Darren Day takes over the part from 6 Oct 03 .

Darren Day's London stage credits include: "Joseph" in 1993; "Grease" at the Cambridge in 1999; "Summer Holiday" at the Apollo Hammersmith in 1997; and most recently making his straight acting debut playing a sex attacker in "Extremities" at the fringe venue, The Old Red Lion Theatre

The show, when reviewed with Stephen Gately as 'Joseph' in March this year, received good notices from the popular: THE GUARDIAN says,"Full of bare-faced cheek and a highly developed sense of fun." FINANCIAL TIMES says, "Enjoyably brash and cheeky staging." THE INDEPENDENT says, "Wonderfully warm-hearted, scenically lavish, and deliriously droll revival." THE STAGE says, "An enjoyable experience ....top-notch production."

This show is the touring production by Bill Kenwright, who also directs! It is designed by Sean Cavanagh, choreographed by Henry Matcalfe with lighting by Nick Richings.

The musical retells the biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is currently taking bookings to 28 Feb 04
