The complete casting for the upcoming world premiere of David Mamet's Bitter Wheat starring John Malkovich at the Garrick Theatre has been announced.

Inspired by recent Hollywood scandals surrounding Harvey Weinstein and the #MeToo movement, Bitter Wheat follows Barney Fein, a Hollywood producer whose career falls from grace, left with a tarnished reputation.

Alexander Arnold joins the cast, with previous theatre credits include Crushed Shells and Mud at the Southwark Playhouse and Four Minutes Twelve Seconds at the Hampstead Theatre. Teddy Kempner will also appear in the production, recently starring in Caroline, or Change at the Playhouse Theatre.

The cast is completed by Matthew Pidgeon and Zephryn Taitte.

New cast members named to star in Bitter Wheat join the previously announced cast including Ioanna Kimbrook as Yung Kim Li, Doon Mackichan as Sondra and John Malkovich as Barney Fein, returning to the West End for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Bitter Wheat is written by David Mamet, who has previously written plays on controversial topics including Oleanna, Speed-the-Plow and Glengarry Glen Ross.

Bitter Wheat is at the Garrick Theatre from 7th June to 21st September.
