After concerts at Crazy Coqs and at Cadogan Hall, Gatsby: The Musical will run for a month of full-length performances. Gatsby: The Musical is at Southwark Playhouse from 8 December - 8 January.

Set at the tailend of the 1920s in a New York speakeasy, The Great Gatsby story is turned on its head, as it's told through the eyes of Daisy Buchanan. Reliving her dreams, Daisy struggles to find herself, all while looking for Jay Gatsby at the same time.

Gatsby: The Musical is inspired by Zelda Fitzgerald, the wife of The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald. Speaking about the musical, writer and director Linnie Reedman said: "Gatsby has become, over the years, synonymous with glamour, glitz and parties. What a lot of people forget, however, is that the 'Roaring Twenties' came immediately after a World War. And a global pandemic."

Jodie Steele leads the Gatsby: The Musical cast as Daisy Buchanan, joined by Ross William Wild as Jay Gatsby and Luke Bayer as Nick Carraway. Bradley Clarkson plays Tom Buchanan, with Robert Grose as Woolfe, Julie Yammanee as Myrtle Wilson, Juana Lobo as George Wilson, Freddie Love as Jordan Baker and Oliver Mawdsley as Owl Eyes, alongside Tristan Pegg and Ash Weir. Evie Rose Lane will play Daisy Buchanan on select performances.

Gatsby: The Musical is arranged and orchestrated by Henry Brennan, with choreography by Chris Whittaker, scenic design by Isabella Van Braeckel, costume design by Belle Mundi, lighting design by Dominic Warwick and sound by Anja Urban.
