Casting has been announced for Nicholas Hytner's upcoming immersive production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Bridge Theatre.
Gwendoline Christie will star as Titiana, alongside Oliver Chris as Oberon, David Moorst as Puck and Hammed Animashaun as Bottom.
The production, which runs from 3rd June, will utilise the Bridge Theatre's adaptable space to create an immersive production of Shakespeare's play, much like Julius Caesar which ran there last year.
Christie is best-known for playing Brienne of Tarth in HBO series Game of Thrones, and has appeared on stage in Breakfast at Tiffany's (Theatre Royal Haymarket) and Cymbeline (Barbican). Oliver Chris' stage credits include the West End productions of One Man, Two Guvnors and King Charles III.
David Moorst starred in last year's production of Allelujah! at the Bridge, while Hammed Animashaun appeared in Barbershop Chronicles and Amadeus at the National.
Joining the full cast will also be Paul Adeyefa (Demetrius), Charlotte Atkinson (Moth), Tessa Bonham Jones (Helena), Jermaine Freeman (Flute), Isis Hainsworth (Hermia), Chipo Kureya (Peasebottom), Francis Lovehall (Starveling), Kevin McMonagle (Egeus), Ami Metcalf (Snout), Jamie-Rose Monk (Snug), Felicity Montagu (Quince), Lennin Nelson-McClure (Mustardseed), Rachel Tolzman (Fairy), Jay Webb (Cobweb) and Kit Young (Lysander).
It is the first time Hytner has directed a production of the play, and his creative team includes designer Bunny Christie, costume designer Christina Cunningham, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Paul Arditti and Grant Olding.
