Joanne Clifton to star in ‘Windfall’ at Southwark Playhouse Borough
The Strictly Come Dancing professional makes her play debut in Scooter Pietsch’s comedy.
We’ve won the casting lottery with this company. Scooter Piestch’s lottery-based comedy Windfall announces its cast, with previews at Southwark Playhouse Borough from 9 February, ahead of an opening night on 14 February, and performances to 11 March.
Windfall follows five office workers who risk their lives of a $500-million lottery ticket. The mere idea of winning changes everything: lovers become rivals, and friends refuse to see eye to eye.
The Play That Goes Wrong director Mark Bell directs Strictly Come Dancing winner Joanne Clifton. Since winning the show in 2016 with celebrity Ore Oduba, she's starred in UK tours of The Addams Family and The Rocky Horror Show. Judith Amsenga, Audrey Anderson, Jack Bennett, Wesley Griffith, and Gabriel Paul complete the company.
The show features set and costume design by Rachel Stone, lighting design by Robbie Butler, and fight direction by Dave Nolan.
Windfall is at Southwark Playhouse Borough.
