Luke Treadaway and Cara Delevingne to join 'Cabaret' in the West End

Delevingne has starred in the films Paper Towns and Suicide Squad, and Treadaway won an Olivier for his role in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Luke Treadaway and Cara Delevingne will join the cast of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club as The Emcee and Sally Bowles from 11 March.

Model and actress Delevingne said: “There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role. I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End. I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production.”

Olivier Award winner Treadaway added: “I can’t wait to become a member of the Kit Kat Club and join this extraordinary production. It’s a huge thrill to be asked to take this on and I’m very excited to get started.”

They join Michael Ahomka-Lindsay as Clifford Bradshaw, Beverley Klein as Fraulein Schneider, and Teddy Kempner as Herr Schultz. Nic Myers plays the role of Sally Bowles once a week.

The cast is completed by Wilf Scolding as Ernst Ludwig, Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie, Liv Alexander as Texas, Natalie Chua as Frenchie, Taite-Elliot Drew as Hans, Damon Gould as Victor, El Haq Latief as Helga, Travis Ross as Bobby, Laura Delany as Rosie, Grant Neal as Herman/Max, and Hicaro Nicolai as Lulu. Rebecca Lisewski, Ela Lisondra, Nic Myers, Andy Rees, Toby Turpin, and Patrick Wilden also star.

Cabaret has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by Joe Masteroff. The musical on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

The rest of the creative team includes Rebecca Frecknall (director), Tom Scutt (set and costume designer), Julia Cheng (choreographer), Jennifer Whyte (musical supervisor), Ben Ferguson (musical director), Isabella Byrd (lighting designer), and Nick Lidster (sound designer).

The musical features the songs "Willkommen," "Don’t Tell Mama," "Mein Herr," "Maybe This Time," "Money," and the title number.

The Broadway production of Cabaret starring Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin will open at the Kit Kat Club at the August Wilson Theatre in April.
