Sam Palladio, Lizzie Wofford join 'Oklahoma!' West End cast
The two actors will join the company of the Olivier Award-winning revival of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical at Wyndham's Theatre on 3 July.
Oh, what a beautiful day! The revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! at Wyndham's Theatre has announced two new cast members joining on 3 July.
Sam Palladio, star of the hit ABC musical drama Nashville, will star as Curly McLain, and Lizzie Wofford will take over the role of Gertie Cummings. They replace Olivier Award winner Arthur Darvill and Rebekah Hinds, respectively.
Oklahoma! centers around the battle between a cowboy, Curly, and a farmhand, Jud, for farmgirl Laurey's heart — and the dark sides of that desire. Director Daniel Fish's production, which won Best Musical Revival awards on Broadway and in the West End, uncovers the sexy and somber side of the classic musical without changing a word of the text.
Who is in the Oklahoma! West End cast?
The current Oklahoma! cast includes James Patrick Davis as Will Parker, Stavros Demetraki as Ali Hakim, Greg Hicks as Andrew Carnes, David King-Yombo as Mike, Anoushka Lucas as Laurey Williams, Marie-Astrid Mence as the Lead Dancer, Paige Peddie as Ado Annie, Sally Ann Triplett as Aunt Eller, and Patrick Vaill as Jud Fry.
