The Showstoppers to livestream new improvised musical event
The Olivier Award-winning troupe are back on the virtual stage later this month.
At the moment, the Showstoppers limited run at the Garrick Theatre is currently postponed. But, to continue performing and share some theatre joy, the Showstoppers will present another improvised musical, available to watch via new livestreams on 26 - 27 March.
During the production, ideas will be taken from people watching and then curated into a show. Once given song titles and character suggestions, the cast will present a 60-minute musical including a live band and choreography.
Since Showstopper! The Improvised Musical began in 2008, the company has enjoyed two West End runs, a BBC radio series and 12 years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical was due to begin a series of performances at the Garrick Theatre in December 2020, but have been continually postponed due to the pandemic. At the time of writing, the company will begin performances on 7 June, with Showstopper! The Improvised Musical tickets on sale now.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is online on 26 - 27 March. For more information, read here.
