A Genesis Of Karma by Gopi Warrier at New End Theatre

Theatre International presents Three Faces Of Evil: A Genesis Of Karma, by Gopi Warrier, at the New End Theatre, a fringe venue in Hampstead, north London, from 17 May to 5 June 2011.

Directed by Alexa Christopher-Daniels, cast includes Miles Barden, Liam Bewley, Alan Booty, Edward Coram-james, Lowri James, Rina Lalbihari .

Explores the intriguing relationship between the Indian philosophy of Karma and a trio of evil acts throughout the Twentieth Century. In three storylines we meet the Jewish Rachel in 1940s Berlin, struggling to defy her schoolmate-turned-Gestapo member Gustav, the Indian Catholic novice Agnes failing to fight off the advances of a Vatican priest, and finally the thuggish racist Kevin and his latest target in nineties London. But do they connect in more ways than meet the eye?

An energetic merging of cultures, histories, poetic writing and physical theatre.
