A new season of work at the Kiln Theatre has been confirmed. As well as online panel discussions, a livestreamed reading of Girl on an Altar will take place, available to watch on 5 March.

The Kiln Theatre's artistic director Indhu Rubasingham said: "As we continue to work on reopening it is important we keep finding ways to connect with our communities. It is vital in these difficult times that we continually look at how to support and engage with the pathways into theatre careers."

The premiere of Marina Carr's Girl on an Altar will be the headline event. Retelling the ancient Greek myth of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, a child is sacrificed to allow the winds to change, with her parents seeking justice for their daughter.

Adjoa Andoh will play Clytemnestra, recently playing Lady Danbury in the Netflix series Bridgerton. Patrick O'Kane plays Agamemnon, whose National Theatre credits include War Horse and Peer Gynt.

Casting is completed by Ayesha Antoine as Cassandra, Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Cilissa, Finbar Lynch as Aegisthus and Joseph Mydell as Tyndareus.
