'Kings of Broadway' concert scheduled at the Palace Theatre in December
The one-night-only event will celebrate music by Jerry Herman, Jules Styne and Stephen Sondheim.
UPDATE: Sam Tutty, Grace Mouat and Jacob Fowler will join the Kings of Broadway cast on 9 December.
Following an online concert that took place earlier this year, Kings of Broadway will entertain live audiences this December. The musical celebration will take place at the Palace Theatre on 9 December, just a week after the upcoming England lockdown is said to end.
Over 30 performers will come together for the concert, celebrating music of Jule Styne, Jerry Herman and Stephen Sondheim. Styne wrote the music for Gypsy and Funny Girl, with Hello, Dolly! by Jerry Herman and Company by Sondheim.
Returning from the original concert are Janie Dee, Emma Kingston, Nadim Naaman, Jenna Russell and Michael Xavier. Joining the company are Hadley Fraser, Bonnie Langford, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Caroline Sheen and Zizi Strallen.
Tracie Bennett, Jason Carr, Michael Colbourne, Deborah Crowe, Jordan Lee Davies, Danielle Fiamanya, Soophia Foroughi, Elliott Griffiths, Siubhan Harrison, Damian Humbley, Harrison Knights, Carl Man, Fiona O'Carroll, Jamie Parker, Sharan Phull, Ana Richardson, Lucy Schaufer, Laura Tebbutt, Lee Thomas, Sally Ann Triplett, Kayi Ushe, Tosh Wanogho-Maud and Alex Young complete the cast.
The company will come together at the end of the evening for a special performance of "Sunday" from Sunday In the Park With George.
It has also been confirmed that, if the show were to be postponed, a back-up date is already in the pipeline.
Kings of Broadway is at the Palace Theatre on 9 December.
