Set against the backdrop of the Great Depression, Of Mice and Men follows two migrant ranch hands that form an unusual bond amid a lifestyle of hard labour and intense loneliness. Lennie, a simple-minded giant, and tough-talking George dream of settling in a place they could at last call home, where they could tend rabbits and ‘live off the fat of the land.’
