Seeing Double by Greenlight Theatre at Camden People's

Greenlight Theatre presents Seeing Double, written & directed by Alex Woolf and Sadie Spencer, at the Camden People's Theatre, a fringe venue near Warren Street, central London, from 8 to 13 April 2013.

Two spaces. Two audiences. Two cameras. Too many problems. Too little time. An 'inventive' new production featuring two shows running concurrently telling two sides of the same story in CPT's theatre and its basement. At the interval, the clock resets and the audience move spaces to find out exactly what's been going on and what's going to happen next.

Upstairs, a hapless production team desperately try to rope a show together before opening night. Downstairs, the actors are led by questionable director Julio Buenaventura through a rehearsal process the like of which they have never experienced. Unbeknownst to them, the actors' every move is under scrutiny from the team above who quickly discover, using a live video stream, that all is not what it seems with the enigmatic Buenaventura. All sides fear a tragedy will occur and that's before Macbeth has even started. One thing's for certain: The truth will out and the farce will commence (twice!)
