The Devil is an Ass at the Rose Playhouse Bankside

Mercurius will present Ben Johnson's comedy The Devil is an Ass at the Rose Playhouse, Bankside from 3 to 28 November 2015.

Directed by Jenny Eastop, the cast will include Lewis Chandler, Monty d'Inverno, Beth Eyre, Benjamin Garrison, Stephen Good, Timothy Harker, Charlie Ryall and Michael Watson Gray.

"Young devil Pug visits earth to corrupt mankind but finds himself desperately out of his depth in the moral cesspool of London life. He's caught in the middle of a frantic whirl of deceit, corruption and trickery as he realises he is no match for mankind's wildly inventive devilishness. Can Pug make it back to the safety of Hell?"

Mercurius return to the Rose Playhouse having previously presented 'A Chaste Maid in Cheapside' and 'A Trick To Catch the Old One'.
