Times Square Angel at the Union Theatre from 26 Nov

ID2 Productions presents Times Square Angel by Charles Busch, at The Union Theatre, a 40 seat venue in Southwark, south London, from 26 November to 21 December 2014.

Described as "A Christmas Carol meets Scrooge with a little bit of Tootsie thrown in for good measure", it stars Ian Stroughair (A.K.A. Velma Celli) as Irish O'Flanagan, along with Tom Whitelock, Ellen Verenieks, Jourdan Amelia Storey, John Hicks, Kandy Rohmann, Jacqui-lee Pryce, Michael Adams, Eduardo Enrikez, Rhiannon Doyle, Alexandra Da Silva.

It is directed by Bronagh Lagan, designed by Philip Lindley and Nik Corall.

New York, 1948. Irish O'Flanagan is the tough as nails, red-headed headliner of the Club Intime.  A lifetime of hard knocks has left her bitter and with a chip on her shoulder the size of Mount Rushmore.  In the spirit of fantasies such as 'A Christmas Carol', 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'The Bishop's Wife', an angel in the form of a sexy vaudeville magician named Albert comes down to show Irish that the path she's been taking is leading her to disaster.
