Weak Edward by Constanza Hola at the Rose (near Globe)

Weak Edward, by Constanza Hola, at the Rose Theatre, (near the Globe) in south London, 9 to 30 April 2011.

A new apocryphal version of the old tragedy about Edward II, by Christopher Marlowe, directed by Diego Poupin.

Located in Latin American, 'Weak Edward' tells the story of a spoiled dictator who tries to be a king, but is thwarted by his strange habits that do not match with the prototypical idea of a masculine, strong and Latino leader. Eduardo loves his dearest friend Gustavo, more than his wife or his country and he had to pay the social cost of his non allowed affair.
