Dames at Sea

This is a delightful musical with some great funny moments, particularly the scene with Mona (Kim Criswell), the leading lady and the Captain (Peter Duncan), when she tries to persuade him to let them perform on his ship.

There are some very good performances particularly by Criswell and Duncan, their timing is superb. The rest of the cast are just as good. The singing is not the greatest but then it does not matter that much because it added to the comedy.

This is a musical for all ages young and old, the old for the nostalgia and the young for the high camp and silliness of it all. It was a really pleasant evening. The show has been extended and you can see why!
