Operation Epsilon is a true story that unearths a once-classified series of events buried in the archives amidst the chaos of World War II. Book Operation Epsilon tickets at the Southwark Playhouse Elephant on London Theatre.
The Operation Epsilon play follows the journey of Germany’s foremost nuclear scientists, who were held captive in England by the British and American forces. Set in a Farm Hall, a British country house, Operation Epsilon is based on transcripts of secretly recorded conversations between the scientists during their detention. Witness the moral dilemmas the scientists face as they grapple with the implications of their work.
This production marks the UK premiere of the award-winning play Operation Epsilon, directed by Andy Sandberg, known for producing the Tony Award-winning revival of Hair. The play features an exceptional cast of 11 actors.
While Operation Epsilon in the West End is not a musical, the play does feature a haunting and atmospheric original score composed by Matthew Bugg. The creative team also includes set designer Janie Howland, costume designer and associate set designer Beth Colley, lighting designer Clancy Flynn, sound designer Chris Drohan, and casting director Lucy Casson.
