The last West End revival of this play was only three years ago. Well, that was the last time I saw it in the West End. And this was the first play I saw in London's theatreland. On that historic occasion, the play was on at the Queen's Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue and Dame Maggie Smith and then husband Sir Robert Stephens were playing the main roles of Amanda and Elyot.
