Emilia Clarke will make her West End debut in the second production of Jamie Lloyd's Playhouse Theatre season as she takes on the role of Nina in Anton Chekov's play The Seagull, in a new version by Anya Reiss.
The second of three productions in Jamie Lloyd’s West End season at the Playhouse, and the play examines the personal and professional relationships of two writers and two actors. This version of Chekhov’s play was first seen at Southwark Playhouse in 2012, and will now be directed by Lloyd.
Clarke, who is probably best-known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in hit TV series Game of Thrones, will appear on stage in the West End for the very first time in The Seagull. Her other film credits include Me Before You, and Last Christmas.
