Casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Touching the Void, an adaptation of the Joe Simpson memoir by David Grieg. Directed by Tom Morris (The Grinning Man), Touching the Void is the first stage adaptation of Simpson’s book, which tells of his ordeal mountaineering in Peru in 1985. Simpson suffered severe injuries including a broken right leg, and was thought to be lost after falling down a crevasse, but managed to crawl back to the safety of base camp.
