A Broken Rose by Sarah Goddard with Louisa Lytton

Five One Productions presents A Broken Rose, by Sarah Goddard, at the Cockpit Theatre, a fringe venue in Marylebone, north London, from 11 to 30 Sep 2012.

Starring Louisa Lytton (Maria), who played series regular Ruby Allen in EastEnders, then two years as PC Beth Green in The Bill. She competed on Strictly Come Dancing, partnered by Vincent Simome. The cast also includes Nicholas Boulton (Dr Cole), Nicola Wright (Jess), John Last (Johnny), Amy Barnes (Sun), Chris Barley (Moon).

Surrounded by the harsh confines of her reality, Maria invents her own world to live in: a world of magic and beauty, that is far preferable to her own. As the two worlds begin to blur together Maria is left struggling in the wake, unable to grasp hold of either.

It is directed by Phil Willmott, lighting by Tom Boucher (Updated 17 Sep 2012), costumes by Emma Tompkins.
