Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome to the Kit Kat Club. The seven-time Olivier-winning Cabaret revival continues its London performances to 16 Dec. 2023. Book Cabaret tickets on London Theatre.
Set in early 1930s Berlin, Cabaret centres around those who interact with the Kit Kat Club. American writer Cliff Bradshaw strikes up a relationship with singer Sally Bowles at a time where the general population are swept up by political turbulence. Cabaret won seven Olivier Awards earlier this year, including Best Musical Revival and all four musical acting categories for Eddie Redmayne, Jessie Buckley, Elliot Levey, and Liza Sadovy.
Cabaret stars Fra Fee and Amy Lennox play their final performances as the Emcee and Sally Bowles respectively on 1 October. Callum Scott Howells and Madeline Brewer then take over the roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles from 3 October, alongside Sid Sagar as Cliff Bradshaw, Danny Mahoney as Ernst Ludwig, Michelle Bishop as Fraulein Kost, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, and Richard Katz as Herr Schultz. In a Cabaret review for London Theatre, our critic said: "The Kit Kat Club is the ultimate escape. After a difficult or even ordinary day, the fanfare, glitz, and glamour feel like a portal to another time.. This production highlights the ensemble nature of the show, featuring a chorus of extremely talented dancers, seemingly inventing new ways to move.”
The Cabaret creative team includes direction by Rebecca Frecknall, scenic and costume design is by Tom Scutt, choreography by Julia Cheng, lighting design by Isabella Byrd and sound design by Nick Lidster.
