A Charles Dickens double bill, Miss Havisham's Expectations and Sikes & Nancy will run at the Trafalgar Studios 2 from 9 December 2014 to 3 January 2015, with an official opening on 12 December 2014, bringing both classic Dickens tales to life in a new and intimate way.

Award-winning actress Linda Marlowe will bring the infamous character of Miss Havisham to life in the one woman show Miss Havisham's Expectations. Dressed in her iconic former wedding dress, surrounded by her dusty wedding breakfast the jilted bride wrestles with love, loss and ageing, as episodes from 'Great Expectations' are told from her perspective alongside biographical material from Dickens' own life and original material by writer-director Di Sherlock.

This will be followed by a play adapted and performed by James Swanton based on the legendary readings Dickens himself used to give which led women to faint in shock. Sikes & Nancy tells the story of Dickens' most famous murder, as the narration switches between Bill Sikes, Nancy, Mr Brownlow and Fagin.

This 'Dickens with a Difference' series is produced by Julie Clare for One Spirit Productions, Tim Johanson Productions, Jimmy Jewell Ltd in association with Andrew Thomas Theatricals Ltd and The Production Exchange.

Both productions run as a double bill, but can be viewed separately, with discounts available when booking both together.
