Dissolve Theatre will present a new production of Henrik Ibsen's classic drama A Doll's House at The Space Theatre in east London from 3 to 13 June 2015.

The production, which will be directed by Chloe Mashiter will feature a diverse cast and will use Ibsen's rarely-seen alternate ending of the play. It will feature designs by Grace Smart and lighting design by Tom Webber.

"Nora and Torvald have all they could possibly want - a wonderful home, beautiful children, and now Torvald's promotion. But their seemingly comfortable life is threatened by Nora's secret, and the man who keeps it. Now, the things she once did to save her husband might destroy them both."

Whilst most modern performances follow the original script, this new production will use the rewrite that was made by Ibsen in 1880 after an actress refused to perform the play as written. Whilst Ibsen favoured the original published ending, Dissolve Theatre have instead decided to take this opportunity to explore this rarely-performed piece of text.
