It's A Bird... It's A Plane... It's Superman - musical

Andrew Yon for All Star Productions Ltd presents the UK premiere of It's A Bird... It's A Plane... It's Superman, a musical, at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre, a fringe venue in Walthamstow, east London, from 4 to 22 March 2014. It has music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Lee Adam, from the book by David Newman & Robert Benton and is based on the Comic Strip Superman.

The show first received its premier on Broadway in 1966. This production is directed by Randy Smartnick, with choreography by Kate McPhee. Musical Director is Aaron Clingham.

About the tale of Superman's efforts to defeat the vengeful Dr. Abner Sedgwick, a ten-time Nobel Prize-losing scientist, who seeks to destroy the world's symbol of good. Superman also comes into romantic conflict with Max Mencken, a columnist for the Daily Planet newspaper who is intent on revealing Superman's true identity, as he resents Lois Lane's attraction to Superman.
