The Hole - comedy at the Hen and Chickens Theatre

The Theatre of Heaven and Hell will present The Hole at the Hen and Chickens Theatre in Islington, north London, from 23 February to 5 March 2016.

The comedy is written by N.F. Simpson and directed by Michael Ward. The cast Darren Ruston, Angela Loucaides, Elena Clements, Jamie Alan Osborn, Brian Eassty and Nick Bright.

Synopsis: "A hole in the ground. Beside it sits a Visionary, forming the nucleus of a queue. As many look down into it, each believe something different to be happening down there, and as they each try and convince each other of their fanatical ideas of what could be down there, they can't help but all be drawn in... to The Hole."

N.F. Simpson, a contemporary of Harold Pinter and John Mortimer, has been called "the most gifted comic writer the English stage has discovered since the war...", and has influenced many writers, performers and comics such as Peter Cook and the Monty Python team.
