The Lady from the Sea by Henrik Ibsen at Courtyard

Red Line Productions presents The Lady from the Sea, by Henrik Ibsen, at the main house at the Courtyard Theatre, in north London, from 9 to 20 Jan 2013.

Ellida, the daughter of a lighthouse-keeper, is married to Dr Wangel. Full of longing for the sea, she feels claustrophobic and restless. On a late summer's day a mysterious stranger comes to claim her, offering an escape from the stifling world she lives in. Now Ellida must decide whether to stay with the family she loves but to which she has never really belonged, or to answer the call of the sea.
