Tina Turner musical to release original cast recording

Producers have announced there will be an original cast recording of Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, with the first single from the album now available to listen to.

"River Deep - Mountain High" is the first single to be released from the album along with an accompanying music video, featuring the vocals of Adrienne Warren as Tina Turner. 

Details of future singles and a release date for the album are yet to be announced.

Adrienne Warren has played the role of Tina Turner since the production received its world premiere at the Aldwych Theatre in 2018. Following previous announcements, she will continue in the role of Tina Turner until 13^th April 2019 alongside Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner.

The cast of Tina the Musical is completed by Madeline Appiah, Lorna Gale, Tom Godwin, Francesca Jackson, Aisha Jawando, Natey Jones, Gerard McCarthy, Ryan O'Donnell, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, Perola Congo, Keisher Downie, Kit Esuruoso, Jammy Kasongo, Sia Kiwa, Jason Langley, Kayleigh McKnight and Baker Mukasa.

Tina the Musical charts the popstar's life, from her humble childhood in Nutbush, Tennessee to eventually becoming one of the greatest-selling performers of the 20th century with songs in the musical including "Shake A Tail Feather", "Disco Inferno" and "What's Love Got to Do With It".

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is at the Aldwych Theatre until 21^st December 2019.
