"We Will Rock You" cast changes from 1 Oct 2007

There are major cast changes in Queen musical, We Will Rock You , at the Dominion Theatre from 1 Oct 2007.

Having understudied the part since February 2006, Ricardo Afonso takes over the role of Galileo; The role of Scaramouche is taken by Sabrina Aloueche; Julian Littman steps into the well-worn sandals of Pop. Lain Gray continues as Britney; and Lucy Sinclair is Meat. Two of its most popular actors will continue in their roles: Mazz Murray as Killer Queen, the role she has played since April 2004; and Alex Bourne as Khashoggi, the role he has played since April 2005.

The show, which opened at the Dominion theatre 14 May 2002, following previews from 26 April 2002, has songs by Queen and book by Ben Elton. It is directed by Christopher Renshaw, choreographed by Arlene Phillips, with designs by Mark Fisher and Willie Williams.

We Will Rock You does not chronicle the story of the band, Queen, rather it incorporates the songs of the rock group. The time is the future. Globalisation is complete. Everywhere, the kids watch the same movies wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. It's a safe happy, Ga Gaworld. Unless your a rebel. Unless you want rock. On Planet Mall all musical instruments are banned. The company computers generate the tunes and everyone downloads them. But resistance is growing. Legend persists that somewhere on Planet Mall instruments still exist......

We Will Rock You is currently taking bookings to 4 Oct 2008
