First look at Glenda Jackson in King Lear at the Old Vic Theatre

Production images have now been announced for the Old Vic's current production of King Lear staring Glenda Jackson in the lead role. A quarter of a century after she gave up acting for politics, double Academy Award-winning legend Glenda Jackson returns to play King Lear in Shakespeare's greatest tragedy, alongside an outstanding company including Jane Horrocks, Rhys Ifans, Simon Manyonda and Harry Melling.

Directed by Deborah Warner, the production features lighting by Jean Kalman, sound by Mel Mercier, design by Jean Kalman & Deborah Warner and costume by Zeb Lalljee.

King Lear runs at the Old Vic to 3 December 2016.
