About

The London Hippodrome opened on 15 Jan. 1900. When the venue opened, the Hippodrome was considered the ultimate location for pleasure seekers. It opened as a circus theatre with a 100,000 gallon pool with elephants, polar bears and carriages pulled by racing teams of horses. During the theatre's history, Harry Houdini performed there and the venue staged the country’s first ever performance of Swan Lake.

The venue returned to its circus roots in 2008 with La Clique. After renovation works, the building then reopened on 13 Jul. 2012 as the nation's biggest casino and entertainment space. The London Hippodrome Casino is now home to Magic Mike Live.
