After four series of hit podcast Brian & Roger, the podcast is now being adapted for stage in Brian & Roger - A Highly Offensive Play at the Menier Chocolate Factory. The new play follows two men seeking support, and you can be a part of the group too. Brian & Roger tickets are available on London Theatre now.
Brian & Roger is a play that centres around a support group for recently divorced men. In this group are Brian, who is reluctant to receive advice but more than happy to help others, and Roger, someone who wants all the guidance he can get, but finds counselling in unexpected methods. While attending their sessions, both Brian and Roger are having to start their lives again - a difficult feat. But only one of them is nice, and usually situations end up ending bad for Roger.
The Brian & Roger podcast began in 2018 as a show by Harry Peacock and Dan Skinner. To date, there's been four full series, with the fifth series being released in weekly episodes that will coincide with the play's run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. But Peacock and Skinner aren't just one-hit podcasters. Peacock appeared on the comedy series Toast of London, while Skinner regularly performs as his comedy alias, bumbling man Angelos Epithemiou.
Audiences that have never listened to a Brian & Roger podcast episode will still be immersed in the show. As part of the stage adaptation, the Brian & Roger podcast concept will be explained, and you'll want to go back and listen to every moment.
Brian & Roger is produced by Marc Haynes and Joel Morris for Great Big Owl. Great Big Owl are an independent podcast group, with other shows including Amusical and Love Island: The Morning After. David Babani directs what has been hailed as the best British comedy happening right now at the theatre, and Brian & Roger is at the Menier Chocolate Factory for just eight weeks.
