About Saturday Night Fever

Saturday Night Fever returns to the West End in 2022. Saturday Night Fever London performances are at the Peacock Theatre. Book Saturday Night Fever tickets on London Theatre now.

The Saturday Night Fever musical pays homage to the 1977 movie of the same name, which featured a young John Travolta as disco dancer Tony Manero. In Saturday Night Fever, Brooklyn teenager Tony Manero dreams of being a professional dancer. He finds his day job boring and unchallenging. Occasionally, Tony gets into trouble with the law. Tony has one safe space though, and that's the discotheque. Practicing his moves — and impressing the ladies too — Tony becomes a hot topic of conversation. Tony’s also in love with Stephanie Mangano, but can the pair achieve their wildest dreams and find dancing success?

Get your dancing moves at the ready for seeing the Saturday Night Fever musical. Saturday Night Fever features songs by the Bee Gees, a trio of brothers — Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb — who formed as a music group in the late 1950s. Think you've never heard a Bee Gees song? Think again! Saturday Night Fever songs include “Tragedy,” “Night Fever,” and “Stayin’ Alive.” But, this Saturday Night Fever is even more exciting, as it includes two Bee Gees songs that have never been in the Saturday Night Fever musical.

Since Saturday Night Fever hit cinemas in 1977, generations have loved John Travolta's career-defining performance as Tony Manero. Travolta earned his first Academy Award nomination for Saturday Night Fever, later earning another for Pulp Fiction. However, it's the white suit and platform shoes worn by Travolta in Saturday Night Fever that define the 1970s disco era, and the disco moves can regularly be spotted in clubs up and down the country even today.
