About Bad Jews

Joshua Harmon’s critically-acclaimed play, Bad Jews, returns to the West End in 2022. Bad Jews is at the Arts Theatre. Bad Jews tickets are available on London Theatre now.

The Bad Jews play follows a group of relatives who are caught in a tricky position. After their grandfather’s passing, they’re left to decide who should own an important family heirloom. The religious jewellery dates back to the Holocaust and is of cultural significance. But who should be left in possession of the sentimental artefact? Will it be Daphna, Daphna’s cousin Liam, Liam’s girlfriend Melody, or Jonah, that walks away with the “prize”? You’re invited to see a private family fight come to light on stage.

Bad Jews premiered off-Broadway in 2012 and received nominations for Best New Off-Broadway play in awards ceremonies across the season. Bad Jews then transferred to the Arts Theatre in 2015. Read a Bad Jews review on London Theatre. Jon Pashley, will direct the Bad Jews play in London in 2022.

The Bad Jews play is by Joshua Harmon. The New York-based playwright made his debut with Bad Jews, but has since written Significant Other, Skintight, Admissions and Prayer for the French Republic.

Bad Jews is one of a number of family dramas in the West End. Mad House plays at the Ambassadors Theatre, while The Glass Menagerie is at the Duke of York’s Theatre.
