The Greatest Showman is a musical inspired by the story of P.T. Barnum, following an ambitious dreamer determined to go far beyond the expectations set for him. Barnum wants to create a new kind of entertainment and assembles a company of eclectic performers who have all spent their lives pushed out of conventional society. Together, they build a show centred around being yourself and showing up as you are, and that changes all of their lives.

Oliver Tompsett reprises the role of P.T. Barnum following the musical’s sold-out premiere run at Bristol Hippodrome. Samantha Barks returns as his wife, Charity Barnum, with Ben Joyce as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch as singer Jenny Lind, and Malinda Parris as Lettie Lutz.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul bring their brilliant and popular score from the film to the stage in The Greatest Showman in London. The EGOT-winning songwriting duo has also created new material specifically for this live stage adaptation.

Tim Federle writes the book, adapting the film’s story for live theatre, while two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs. The production also boasts scenic design by David Korins, costumes by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser, lighting by Natasha Katz, sound by Peter Hylenski, and circus creation and design by Lorenzo Pisoni.

With glimmering theatrical effects, new songs, and a beloved score known to many, The Greatest Showman is bringing its celebration of community to the West End for a show audiences won’t soon forget, reminding everyone that that which makes them different is precisely what makes them shine so bright.
