Alexandra Burke to star in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’

She’ll play the giant's wife Mrs. Blunderbore in this year's Christmas pantomime.

Fee, fi, fo, fum, we smell the blood of… new casting. Alexandra Burke will star in Jack and the Beanstalk at the London Palladium this Christmas. Jack and the Beanstalk is at the London Palladium from 10 December, and Jack and the Beanstalk tickets are on sale now.

Burke will play Mrs. Blunderbore, the giant's wife in Jack and the Beanstalk. She joins a cast including Dawn French, Julian Clary and Gary Wilmot.

Since winning The X Factor, Burke’s appeared in a number of West End musicals, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chicago and The Bodyguard. Burke is currently starring in the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

This year marks the London Palladium's seventh annual Christmas pantomime. Previous shows include Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and last year's pantomime celebration, Pantoland at the Palladium. Michael Harrison directs Jack and the Beanstalk, and the production features design by Mark Walters, costume design by Hugh Durrant, choreography by Karen Bruce, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
