"Blood" by Lars Noren at the Royal Court 18 Sep 03 with Francesca Annis & Nicholas le Prevost

Blood by Swedish playwright Lars Noren, translated by Maja Zade, will open at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs 25 Sep 03, following previews from 18 Sep 03, and booking to 25 Oct 03, starring Francesca Annis, Nicholas le Prevost & Tom Hardy.

Public Booking opens 13 Aug 03.

It is directed by James Macdonald and designed by Hildegard Bechtler.

Francesca Annis's London stage credits include: "Lady Windermere's Fan" at the Albery in 1994;"Ghosts" at the Comedy in 2001; "The Vortex" at the Donmar Warehouse 2002.

Nicholas le Prevost's London stage credits include: "Mind Millie For Me" at the Haymarket in 1996; "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie " at the Lyttelton, NT in 1998; "Amadeus" at the Old Vic in 1999; "Last Dance At Dum Dum" at the New Ambassadors in 1999; "My Fair Lady" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2001; "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Haymarket in 2002.

Rosa and Eric Sabato are exiles. They were imprisoned, tortured and finally expelled from Chile by the Pinochet regime in 1974. She is a war correspondent and he is an analyst. Twenty years later in Paris, Rosa's novel, Present Shadow, has just been published. It is the first time she has drawn from the experience of the coup, when their son was taken away from them. Twenty years later they still can't find him.
