Audiences will follow Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Fenchurch and Marvin the Paranoid Android on a galactic adventure as they escape Earth’s destruction.
Combining pre-recorded celebrity voices with a live cast, the show will include actor and comedian grandee Sanjeev Bhaskar (Taskmaster, Unforgotten) voicing Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz, Olivier Award winner Tamsin Greig (Black Books, Episodes) voicing The Guide, Lenora Crichlow (Avenue 5, Being Human) appearing digitally as Tricia McMillian AKA Trillian, and journalist Samira Ahmed appearing as a newsreader.
The live cast includes Benjamin Durham and Robert Thompson as Arthur Dent, Oliver Britten and Matt Colyer as Ford Prefect, Kat Johns-Burke as Fenchurch, Andrew Evans as Marvin the Paranoid Android, Lee VG as Zaphod Beeblebrox and Richard Costello as Slartibartfast.
Completing the cast are Angelis Hunt and Aya Elmansouri as Humma Kavula, Briony Scarlett as Eccentrica Gallumbits and Tom Bowen as Wowbagger, Alex Anthony Fevrier, and Tamara Saffir.
Bhaskar said, “I’m really excited to be a part of Hithchikers. Arvind’s understanding and love for Douglas Adams’ work supersedes and surpasses anyone else I know. So it was such an easy ‘Yes’”.
