The full cast joining Finty Williams and Jasper Britton in a revival of Hugh Whitemore's Pack of Lies at the Menier Chocolate Factory has been announced.

When it premiered in the '80s, Pack of Lies starred husband and wife Judi Dench and Michael Williams as Ruth and Bill Search who find themselves at the centre of an investigation into the Portland Soviet spy ring with their daughter Gay Search.

Directed by Hannah Chissick, Dench and Williams' daughter Finty Williams will play Ruth, while Britton plays Bill.

They will be joined by Sia Dauda (Sally), Alasdair Harvey (Peter Kroger), Chris Larkin (Bob Jackson), Macy Nyman (Julie Jackson), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Helen Kroger) and Natalie Walter (Thelma).

Pack of Lies runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 20th September to 17th November, and tickets are available now.

The play is based on the true story of the Portland spy ring, which was a Soviet operation in England from the late 1950s until 1961. It was an example of the use of illegal residents, which saw spies operating in a foreign country without the cover of their national embassy.

It will have set and costume designs by Paul Farnsworth, lighting design by Paul Anderson, and sound by Jonathan Everett.

Pack of Lies is at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 20th September to 17th November.

Pack of Lies tickets are available now.
