Funk It Up About Nothin' at Stratford East 8 April

Funk It Up About Nothin' at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, in east London, from 8 Apr to 7 May 2011.

A Hip Hop version of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, created by The Q Brothers, the writer/director team behind the 2002 West End show The Bomb-itty of Errors.

Taking Shakespeare's traditional tale of love and misunderstanding, Funk It Up About Nothin' turns it on its head, injecting energy, funk and the odd rude bit to create an inner-city love story for the masses.

Starring The Q Brothers, Jillian Burfete , Jackson Doran , Postell Pringle , Ericka Ratcliff , Adrienne Sanchez.

Directed by The Q Brothers, designed by Brian Sidney Bembridge, lighting by Debbie Baer.

Produced by Theatre Royal Stratford East, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Merrigong Theatre Company and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd
