Rhum and Clay Theatre Company present Hardboiled: The Fall of Sam Shadow at the New Diorama Theatre in north London from 9 to 27 February 2016, with an official opening on 10 February 2016.

"A man with ice where his heart should be. Hurt more times than he'd care to count. A list of enemies longer than a giraffe's neck. Whisky-soaked, wisecracking Private Investigator Sam Shadow is the most hardboiled of them all and he doesn't care who knows it. Then the beautiful Scarlett Crawford sashays into his office and knocks him outta the park. It seems like the routine case of a missing sister. But there are no ordinary cases in this town. And this is no ordinary dame..."

The drama has been inspired by classic film noirs such as 'The Big Sleep' and 'Chinatown', and is a journey through a celluloid world of crooked cops, private eyes and femme fatales, written and directed by Beth Flintoff.

The production is a co-production between Rhum and Clay, The Watermill Theatre and Beth Flintoff and has been supported by New Diorama Theatre's Emerging Companies Fund.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
