Having previously starred alongside each other in the West End in Big, Kimberly Walsh and Jay McGuiness are set to reunite as they star in the premiere of Sleepless the Musical from April.

Starring as Annie and Sam respectively, they will be joined by Daniel Casey who will play Walter in the romantic comedy musical about an architect who starts a new life in the Washington city and meets and falls for an engaged newspaper reporter.

It is based on the 1993 Nora Ephron film starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, and the musical version has a book by the film's writer Jeff Arch, and music and lyrics by Robert Scott and Brendan Cull.

Before Big, which played the Dominion last year, Walsh's West End credits include Shrek the Musical and Elf the Musical. She rose to fame as a member of the pop group Girls Aloud, with whom she sold over 4 million albums in the UK.

McGuiness rose to fame as a member of the pop group The Wanted, and made his West End debut in Rip It Up at the Garrick Theatre before playing the lead role in Big, another part made famous in its original film portrayal by Tom Hanks.

Daniel Casey's theatre work includes The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the National Theatre, and a UK tour of Abigail's Party.

They will be joined by Harriet Thorpe as Eleanor, Tania Mathurin as Becky and Jake Sharp as Rob, while the full cast is completed by Charlie Bull, Colin Burnicle, Christie-Lee Crosson, Laura Darton, Leanne Garretty, Matt Holland, Ross McLaren, Gary Murphy, Dominique Planter, Annie Wensak and Benjamin Wong. Theo Collis, Mikey Colville and Jack Reynolds will share the role of Jonah.

Directed by Morgan Young, the musical will feature sets by Morgan Large, costumes by Sue Simmerling, lighting by Ken Billington, video design by Ian William Galloway, orchestrations and arrangements by Larry Blank, musical supervision by Stuart Morley, musical direction by Chris Walker, and wig and hair design by Richard Mawbey.

Sleepless the Musical is at the Troubadour Wembley Park from 24th March.
