"Journey's End" new cast from 2 Aug 2004

R C Sherriff's Journey's End , announces a cast change from Monday 2 August 2004 at Playhouse Theatre.

The new cast includes: Brendan Patricks (Stanhope), Malcolm Sinclair (Osborne), Rufus Wright (Hibbert), Paul Brightwell (Mason), Ian Burfield (Trotter), Peter Sandys-clarke (Raleigh), John Elmes (Colonel), Charles Daish (Sm/Hardy), Ralph Gassmann (German Soldier), Rob Heaney (Bert), Paul Benzing (Broughton).

Also, from 7 Sep 2004 there will no longer be a Monday evening performance, instead a Tuesday Matinee has been added. (Tues to Sat at 7.30pm , Mats Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm)

Produced by Background, the play is directed by David Grindley, designed by Jonathan Fensom, with lighting by Jason Taylor.

Set against the background of life in the trenches during World War One, the play is based on the author's own experience of the Front. It follows a group of officers behind British lines at St Quentin, France, who await their fate on the front line.
